What to verify before partnership ads and creator-handle amplification

Verify contractual rights, platform permissions, disclosure, ad setup, asset version and revocation separately.

THE SHORT ANSWER

A platform permission from the creator solves only part of technical access. Before launch, confirm contractual paid use, exact asset and version, platform and handle, territory, term, budget, allowed edits, disclosure, comment handling, data access and revocation. If platform access and agreement differ, operate within the narrower valid scope and correct the record. After the campaign, verify ads stop, permission is revoked and the asset cannot enter new ads.

Confirm commercial rights before platform access

The agreement should define advertising use, territory, term, assets and editing. A working platform button does not authorize paid use without written rights.

Store the signed version and expiry where media teams can see restrictions rather than leaving them only with legal.

Verify account and asset version

Confirm creator profile, brand ad account, content ID, captions, music and final approved version. A wrong account or old cut can create activity neither party intended.

Meta partnership-ad guidance separates creator permission from ad creation; both steps need verification.

Keep disclosure aligned with ad status

The commercial relationship should remain clear in original content and the ad. Meta includes free gifted products as a possible exchange of value and requires the paid partnership label for branded content.

Local rules still apply. A platform label does not replace every legal disclosure or correct a false product claim.

Create an end-of-use checklist

Record ad end, permission revocation, remaining schedules, asset archive, data snapshot and settlement. Confirm new scope and price before extension.

Keep platform access, contractual rights and asset status as separate QuickKOL fields. Expiry of any one should block new spend.

Contract authority and platform permission must both exist

Meta’s branded-content and partnership-ads systems require appropriate disclosures and permissions. Platform selection of an asset does not prove the contract permits every market, term, edit or ad account; contractual rights do not guarantee the platform permission remains active.

Before launch, run two checks. Contract records cover asset ID, ad type, account, market, start and end dates and editing rights; platform records cover identity, partnership label, authorization and preview. Save first-delivery evidence within 24 hours, then stop delivery, revoke permission and archive evidence at expiry.
